Magnesium Oxide Fire Resistance Boards also known as MgO Fire
Resistance Boards (MFR Boards), Magnesium Oxychloride Boards are
Environmental Friendly, Non-combustible product with good fire
resistance, good water resistance, good heat insulation and good
sound insulation. These Boards are made from all natural materials
therefore it is environment friendly and is non-toxic. MgO Boards
are made from Magnesium Oxide (Powder form commonly known as
Magnesia), Magnesium Chloride (Powder form but mix with water to
get the solution form), Wooden Saw Dust (Must be sun to reduce
water content), Talc (for helping in bonding purpose).
The production of this product is simple and does not cause any
pollution to the environment as it is done in the traditional
method to get the best quality with best results therefore helping
to reduce pollution to our environment. The Magnesium Oxide powder
(Magnesia), Magnesium Chloride solution together with the wooden
saw dust and talc are mixed together with an electric powered mixer
to get a rich texture which is laid on PVC moulds with layers of
Glass Fiber Reinforcement mesh laid in between depending on the
usage requirement on a In-Line production line. After the mixes are
laid on the moulds, the moulds will be set in a curing room to be
cured with the help of Mother Nature therefore not producing any
pollution to the environment (never use oven to shorten the process
which will result in a brittle product). During the curing stage,
the boards will produce heat due to the chemical reaction of the
mix to temperature of up 70 Degrees Celsius. During these stages,
Magnesium Oxychloride is formed by the reaction of Magnesia (MgO)
with Magnesium Chloride solution. To get the greater mechanical
properties of the Magnesium Oxychloride, the chemical equation must
show: 5Mg (OH)2.MgCl2.8H20 this is the strongest Oxychloride cement
equation. The process rapidly forms a dense interlocking crystal
structure which has a good space filling properties and a dense
microstructure. It is the bonding phase which gives rise to the
strongest bonds and the strongest product.
MgO Boards can be use for Wall Partitioning, in Fire resistance
doors, in system furniture partitions, as ceiling boards (need
advice during installation), as heat insulation for roofing. Etc.

Easy to cut, Easy handling.
Moisture content changes with the environment’s moisture content
(some may think this is disadvantage but some say it is good as
this is a breathing board), takes a long time to produce as the
boards needs time to fully cure,
3’ x 6’ (915mm x 1830mm) / 3’ x 7’ (915mm x 2135mm) / 4’ x 8’ (1220mm
x 2440mm) other sizes can be arrange but extra cost will be charge
due to new moulds have to be arrange according to required size.
Thickness ranges from 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 9mm, 10mm, 12mm,
14mm, 16mm, 18mm, 25mm.
